Tuesday lunch at Colonial Country Club with fellow members is just the beginning. Rotary is a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders who take an active role in their communities while greatly enriching their personal and professional lives.

Do you want to serve?
Do you enjoy the company of a diverse group of people?
Do you like to keep up with what's happening?

Rotary is about service. The motto is Service Above Self. Club members have many opportunities for humanitarian service, both locally and internationally. Service programs address concerns such as health care, hunger, poverty, illiteracy, and the environment. Rotarians regularly experience the fulfillment that comes from giving back to the community.

Service Projects Our club has many different avenues of service to fit your talents and preferences.  Here are just a few:

  • Display American flags throughout city on holidays
  • Volunteer for various community projects
  • Sent a million books to South Africa
  • Honor local teachers, firefighters and police officers
  • Partner with Wilson Elementary, McLean MS & Paschal HS
  • Scholarships for nursing students, college bound student & high school leaders

Rotary was founded on fellowship, a cornerstone that continues to attract members today. Rotarians enjoy camaraderie with like-minded professionals, and club projects provide opportunities to develop enduring friendships. Club members who travel have friendly contacts in almost every city of the world. Here are just a few examples of social functions from our club: holiday parties, new member welcome parties, theater parties and baseball games and other get-togethers!

Weekly Programs -  Each week we have a special program. Past programs have included authors, a Texas Ranger, professionals, sports nuts, civic leaders, musicians, penguins, sports icons, and snow leopards.
